Photo taken with my iPhone and converted to black and white with a camera app. I watermark them for the website. So I had to upload to the computer to watermark. That is all though. The best camera you can use is the one that is with you. I use my iPhone more than my DSLR. It is convenient and when the light is right the pictures are beautiful.Happy Father’s Day to all the great father’s I know. I know I miss mine every year. It has been 9 years almost 10 since he died and it gets harder every year. I am lucky to be surrounded by wonderful guys. I love watching them be dad’s.
She had emptied her dress up box and put on her snowman white costume. She was dancing in the family room in the sunlight. She danced for awhile before she realized I was taking pictures, when she caught me she smiled! Smiling she continued to dance! Happy Wednesday internets. Pull out your dress up clothes and dance in the sun. You won’t ever regret it.
Starting tomorrow I will be on the road for over three weeks with a stop back home to move. Yes I am moving again. Of course in the midst of all my travel I schedule a big move. It needed to be done and a place came up so I grabbed it. It just happens to be in the middle of my busy travel schedule. Such is my life. I really would just love to sleep like Babylicious. Doesn’t that sound phenomenal right now? Uninterrupted sleep and when I wake up all my stuff has magically been moved to my new home. The bonus to all my travels is that I get to see a lot of family and friends throughout my trips. Virginia, Atlanta, Alabama and Colorado are just a few of the states I will be visiting.
Living at the beach is a little slice of heaven. The kids all arrived this weekend and will be here for the summer. The girls went downtown for pedicures, while the boys hung out at the house. We all headed to the beach in the afternoon. It was a little chilly, but still beautiful. My girl loves the water, she runs in and out, in and out, just jumping the waves squealing with delight.
Today marks one year to the day that my youngest brother died. I still can’t believe it. It seems like forever and yet it feels like it just happened. Grief is a crazy thing. Sometimes it just hits you and takes your breath away. Today I decided to celebrate his life. We ate ice cream, enjoyed the sun and beach, took a nap, and just spent it with the little girls. My mom is in New York City with my cousins. I haven’t seen her yet, but I plan to stay up until she gets home just to give her a hug. I have talked to most of my other siblings today. I am so grateful for the wonderful family I have. So onto the beach pictures I took tonight of Babylicious and my cousin Emma. My mom wanted a picture of the girls this summer holding sunflowers on the beach in front of the Ocean. I bought Babylicious and Bossy Boots the Damsak pillow dresses from Jazzy Girl boutique. Emma was a great little model. She is visiting the beach from Kansas. So it was only fitting she be in the beach shoot holding her state flower. Growing up we would get our pictures in the sunflower fields in Kansas. So I thought we needed a little touch of Kansas at the Jersey shore. Then we had a dress swap and Emma got some in the black and white dress. After the quick beach shoot we headed over to Aunt Betty’s Ice Cream Shack in Ocean City, New Jersey. The girls got crazy vanilla which is pink and blue. They loved it. They both got cones and had a really good time eating them. Check out more on our FaceBook Fan Page.
