Happy Memorial Day. MCP actions had a contest for the most patriotic picture. I submitted this one and it made it into the slide show. Go check out all the amazing pictures here. Happy Memorial Day and thank you to all the wonderful women and men who serve. And of course to all the military families that stay home while their loved ones serve being mom and dad.
Anais aka Babylicious is the youngest of all my nieces and nephews right now. She is going to be the the last baby for a while. It is bittersweet. I love her. She is amazing and what a blessing she is to have in our family. Someday I know there will be more babies. Someday they will be my babies, but for now she is the last one and I am soaking up every moment of her I can.
Happy Birthday to Baby Jesus! We sing Happy Birthday to Jesus every year at Christmas dinner. We bake our family birthday cake which is black magic, which happens to be my great grandmother’s chocolate cake recipe. The holiday china is used every Christmas and has been used for as long as I can remember. It was my parents and when my dad died and my mom sold the house we grew up in she split the china between my sister, sister in law, and I. We each have a ridiculous amount of service. I was the lucky one that inherited the gold ware with the dishes. I know be jealous, be very jealous. I love traditions! What are your traditions? Merry Christmas from my family to yours!
The iPad is a hit with everyone in the family. However there are two little girls that especially love the iPads! Thankfully Gran and I each have one. Not only do they love the iPad they also love the iPhones. Babylicious likes to play with both the iPad and iPhone at the same time, she likes to put the same game on both of them at the same time. Here she sits on Christmas Eve with her bink, her blankie, and the beloved iPad. The iPhone I was on at the time or she would have had that with her as well.
