This is my mom which if you read my blog you know her pretty well by now. She walked 60 miles in 3 days and she finished 213 out of 2750 people. Yes I am going to brag. She is 61 years old and walked 60 miles, 14 months after a bilateral mastectomy. She is 14 months cancer free and she is amazing. She told me she hurt her calf and was walking really slow. She thought she was at the end of the groups coming in. I had to laugh because I can only imagine if she didn’t hurt herself where she would have finished. (I posted this picture because my mom always claims that Noor and I are bossy. Well where does she think we picked up our bossy boots from. Her of course! Look at her pointing that finger. The creator of many bossy boots! My mom!) The woman that are survivors wore pink, the other walkers wore white, there were all the wonderful crew that supported the walkers for three long days, and lots of family and friends. The energy in the Cotton Bowl was amazing.
Molly’s stroller was full of all the goodies we collected along the way so she got carried throughout the day. Good thing there were lots of people willing to hold this cutie. She really enjoyed my phone. She only called two people and took lots of video and pictures of herself. She caught quite a few unsuspecting people’s conversation on video and the video being a close up of her face.
Big Molly and Little Molly together again!
And part of the group in our group picture. Let’s just say the people trying to take our picture couldn’t figure out my camera with the 50 on it. Oh well. Here is part of us though.best friend who had her baby this morning. Brayden Michael arrived at 6:25 am. One week early. Weighing in at 7lbs 12 oz and 21 inches long. I have a feeling there is no way I am going to be able to wait until January to meet him. I am sure I will be booking my flight to see him in the next month.
